Safari
We create bespoke safari adventures around you, taking into account your interests, the time of year and the very best that Murchison Falls has to offer. From game drives and boat safaris to camping in the wilderness, barbecues beneath the stars and unforgettable dining experiences near the Top of the Falls, every safari can be different.
This is safari as it was meant to be. Murchison Falls is true African wilderness, where the animals are wild and encounters happen naturally, not to a timetable. Explore a National Park larger than Luxembourg and Singapore combined, home to four of the Big Five and an extraordinary variety of primates and birdlife. Here, you don’t simply observe the wild — you become part of it.
And if you want to complete the Big Five, Uganda’s rhinos are less than an hour away and we can make them part of your adventure. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll create a safari around you.

Game drives
Our guests are treated as individuals with different preferences. Our games drives our tailored to there previous experiences and there preferred game viewing. We can offer the normal range of games drives in a group or private trip including night, morning and days game drives. We use the most senior guides in the park to build an experience based on preference and the time of year. You can expect to see at least four of the big five hear at Glamp Murchison. You will be provided with full refreshments, safety equipment, where appropriate, and a breathtaking game drive.
Top of the falls
The Top of the Falls experience takes you to the very edge of Africa’s most powerful waterfall, where the mighty Nile is forced through a gap just seven meters wide before exploding into the gorge below. Walk with our guide between spectacular viewpoints, feeling the thunder beneath your feet and the spray in the air as you take in the sheer power and majesty of Murchison Falls.
It is an unforgettable place — wild, dramatic and quite unlike anywhere else. Ernest Hemingway famously survived two plane crashes in this part of Uganda in 1954, one following an aerial sightseeing trip over the falls. Once you have stood at the top yourself, you will understand why Murchison Falls leaves such a lasting impression.il
Navigate the Nile
There is no better way to experience the mighty Nile than from the water. Cruise towards the foot of Murchison Falls, watching elephants, buffalo and other wildlife along the banks while hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles inhabit the waters around you. As the river narrows, hear the growing thunder of the Falls before witnessing their extraordinary power from below.
Or let us arrange a river adventure around you. Journey towards the Nile Delta in search of the legendary shoebill, enjoy a leisurely wildlife cruise, watch the sun set over the Nile or simply spend a few unforgettable hours exploring one of Africa’s greatest rivers.

Wild Camping in the Park
For our more adventurous guests we offer a 24 hour spectacular involving night and early morning game drives. Included is an uncompromising and tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. Feel thrill of sleeping in the middle of the park in a UWA patrolled camping zone. We can add this to transfers to and from Entebbe airport and works bests for those staying at Glamp Murchison for two or three nights. Whilst camping, you'll served and protected by our guides and UWA rangers. We can serve a range of dining options from BBQ to our four course menu prepared at the tent-side by our senior Sous-chef. All facilities are included such as portable toilet and we can even setup a cold shower for those who request it. This adventure is only available to Glamp Murchison guests.
Riverfront Dining
We are immensely proud of our home produced ingredients. From quality organic seasonal vegetables to our farm produced milk, cheese and butter. We also chicken, goat and pork and on our land. Start your day with a generous continental or full English breakfast, with homemade sausages, home-cured bacon, organic eggs and home made baked beans.
Lunch is a light two-course affair, always freshly prepared, while evenings bring a delicious four-course dinner designed to leave you satisfied, refreshed and looking forward to every mouthful. Delicious Vegan, halal and kosher options are available, please just let us know your preference.
Great dining is also about great service. Our kitchen and restaurant teams take particular pride in timing each course beautifully, attentive service and making sure you spend your evening enjoying the food, the surroundings and the company
